Taking Candy From A Baby

Everyone has always said how bad/wrong it is to take candy from a baby. Have any of those people ever asked the baby what she thinks about it?? Huh? Have they? I don't think so. Because the way I see it, taking candy from a baby is one of the coolest and funnest things you could ever do to a baby.

Christmas '09

The Three Wise Men in Delta: This shot was taken moments before Adele smiled and went for Harlie's neck. I think they will be great friends.
As requested, Santa brought Elsa the "most beautiful-est dress the elves can make."

Santa brought Adele a walker and a doll.

Adele was happy to show Tyda the accessories on her new ride.

Elsa and Adele with all their "loot."

We got the girls these adorable little outfits. I will admit, I seem to enjoy them more than the girls do.

Adele and Harlie "playing" together for the first time.

Up the Stairs

I was watching Adele the other day. When I turned my back to clean up a mess, she decided that she would make a break for it. When I turned back around, I couldn't see her until I got to the stairs. It was pretty impressive going from not being able to crawl up one stair to taking on the whole staircase.

I like this look. It's part "I'm happy to see you", part "look what I did all by myself" and part "how are you going to be mad at me if I make this face?".

Elsa Making Her Sister Laugh

For some reason, Adele thought that this was the funniest thing to ever happen. I didn't get a video of it until later and Adele wasn't yelling as much, but it is still pretty funny. I guess Adele thought it was awesome that Elsa was "falling" down the stairs to chase her...I guess.

Hey, You Guys?? Is Anyone there??

She's now crawling up on stuff, but hasn't quite mastered the "climbing back down" part.
Here, she was less then pleased with the predicament she was in. And with the ducks mocking her and the cats coming and going as they pleased, she was not happy.

How Dare You?!

She wasn't appreciative of Emma's and my idea of not picking her up.

She already thinks that she runs the place.

The Happiest Haircut EVER!

We took Elsa to get a haircut last night.

Here she is with her savvy new do:

Since she is a big girl now, after talking to the hair stylist about what to do with Elsa's hair, I left for a few minutes to cruise the mall.

When I got back, Elsa was VERY excited to show me something. Look down at her feet in the picture above. See the spot? That is her hair.

The stylist (our good friend Theresa, from Trade Secret Salon) told me that they had not moved it at all. They had swept the rest of the hair away, but this part was siting on the floor exactly as it fell when she cut it from Elsa's pretty little head.

Here is a close up:
And here is a closer up:
Our stylist is good. REAL GOOD!

My Child Cannot Even Crawl Yet, But...

There is no obstacle big enough...No coffee table wide enough...
No bars high enough...

To keep her away from something she really wants. That's my girl!

Halloween Recap

Ryan and Elsa started Halloween a little early and when to see Odyssey Dance Company perform its annual Thriller concert. Zombies tried to get them.
Scary zombies.
They survived.
Halloween morning, we got pretty and headed to Delta. This is Addy, ready to depart.
On the way we saw some sheep; I guess sheep need exercise because these ranchers were out walking their sheep.
All of their sheep.
A lot of sheep.
Despite the sheep, we did make it to Delta in time for the pumpkin carving contest.

Elsa and I entered jointly. I had her check out our competition before we got crackin'.

After the carving, the children were fed
And then dressed in their finest Halloween garb.

Grrrrrrrrrrr!
She is being covered in the group shot. Here is the top half of Miss T.
And Oakley...or Captain Red Head.
This is Jenna, the only adult with the gumption to dress up. Notice the Robisons like to sport long red hair on Halloween. (You know what I mean Ry?)
Harley. You would think with a name like that, she would be something a little tougher and scarier than a flower! Well, maybe next year.
Hawley the cow girl.
Adele the bug.
Elsa the grumpy fairy princess.

The tall one smiled because I threatened to take her candy. The little ones smiled because I threatened to take their picture.
She was unamused by the trunker-treating, but Adele found her fairy princess sister fascinating.

I didn't even place in the pumpkin carving...

Look at the competition though. (I voted for the top 4 of these, and gave serious thought to stealing the fifth)
